Zindagi Fellows 2022

Alisha

My name is Alisha and I like to teach children. I teach children through games, which makes learning easier and enhances their interest in studies. In addition, it helps children with physical and mental development. I also want to tell people that it is important for them to understand children's feelings and stop imposing studies on them. I aim to become a better teacher and teach as many children as possible.


Jayshree

My name is Jayshree Keshavrao Sarode and Iā€™m from Amravati district in Maharashtra. I have an MBA in HR and marketing from Nagpur University. I had previously worked as a Project Manager on a government health project. I aim to achieve career and personal satisfaction, and financial stability.


Mamta

My name is Mamta and I belong to Kangra district from Himachal Pradesh. I have done my Bachelors in Commerce. I make products from pine needles like wall hangings, baskets, etc. I learned this skill from my parents and now wish to take this work forward. I want to work with the youth in taking this business further.


Nikita

My name is Nikita Chandrahar Gaikwad. I have an M.A. in Political Science. Since childhood, I have been interested in social work and participated in many plays to spread awareness about health and society. I also participated in NSS, college, and university camps. I want to work for the betterment of the weaker sections of the society. I want to work with the LGBTQ+ community for their upliftment. I aim to work with the people and for the people. I like to teach, sketch, and play badminton.


Pravina

My name is Pravina and I'm from Gujarat. I come from a lower socio-economic background, and my parents used to work as manual scavengers. My family has lived in dire poverty, and we used to struggle to eat proper meals and live. I believe that if we are financially strong, we can lead a dignified life and fulfill all our needs. We don't have to beg anyone for financial support. It is women who always have a lot of economic burden and that is why it's important for them to become independent. I want to work with women from economically weaker sections and empower them.


Renu

My name is Renu Devi and I am from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. I moved to Amritsar (Punjab) after my marriage. I am a graduate of Sanskrit from Sampurnanand Sanskrit University, Varanasi. I bought a computer for my children but I started learning basic computer applications too. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been working from home online and many people have come to know about our work. Now we want to expand our business by setting up a shop in the market.


Suchitra

I am Suchitra, a resident of Delhi. I have an M.A. in Hindi from Delhi University. I love writing poetry, painting, and gardening. I like to travel to new places and see, hear, and feel nature. I am more attached to nature, and I wish I could contribute in my own ways to make it even more beautiful. Nature may disappear, and change its forms, hence I like capturing the beauty of nature in images.
