Zindagi Fellowship Odisha Workshops

Following the successful completion of our Jharkhand workshops, Zindagi Fellowship is launching its first-ever residential workshops in Rayagada, Odisha! The workshops will host 30 participants over two days in collaboration with three local organizations - SOVA, NEED, and AASTHA.

The primary focus areas of the workshop will be Women’s Reproductive Health and Financial Literacy. The participants are women aged 18-45 who have finished their matriculation (10th Class) or higher degrees. The workshop aims to provide them with essential knowledge and skills to improve their financial decision-making and overall health.

In the Women’s Reproductive Health sessions, participants will gain insights into essential health concerns affecting young women and adolescent girls. The discussions will cover various reproductive issues, emphasizing the importance of menstruation hygiene, proper nutrition, and overall well-being. Additionally, the workshop will address crucial aspects of family planning and childcare, ensuring that women have the necessary information to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.

The Financial Literacy segment will introduce participants to fundamental banking concepts, including loans, credit, and interest rates. They will also explore savings and investment strategies, such as mutual funds, stocks, fixed deposits, and insurance options. The workshop will further delve into effective budgeting techniques, personal finance management, and the safe use of mobile banking and UPI services. Additionally, participants will learn about banking security and fraud prevention, equipping them with the knowledge to protect their financial assets.

The objectives of these workshops are to:

  • Enhance Participants' Understanding: Equip individuals with essential knowledge and practical skills in reproductive health and financial literacy to support informed decision-making.

  • Raise Awareness: Increase awareness of key issues related to women’s reproductive health and financial management to ensure better personal and community well-being.

  • Foster Community Engagement: Strengthen community connections through shared learning experiences on reproductive health practices and financial planning.

  • Encourage Practical Application: Equip participants with tools and strategies to apply their learning in daily life, promoting long-term positive change.

This initiative is designed to be an interactive and supportive environment where women can share their experiences, ask questions, and gain practical insights into reproductive health and financial literacy. Through collaborative discussions, hands-on activities, and expert-led sessions, we aim to help participants make informed choices and strengthen their economic and social well-being.

Our local partner organizations have played a crucial role in identifying suitable venues and mobilizing participants. They will provide logistical support to ensure smooth workshops and assist in follow-up activities, such as guiding applicants for the Zindagi Fellowship.

Project Mukti has designed the interactive sessions, will facilitate the workshops, and will supply the necessary workshop materials. By working together with local organizations, we not only enhance the reach and effectiveness of the workshops but also exchange knowledge and learning resources for long-term impact.
